Jerk chicken burgers
Ingredients:
For burgers:
- 675 g of ground chicken Ferme des Voltigeurs
- 4 large burger buns
For the jerk seasoning :
- 1 tbsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. Jamaican pepper
- 1 tsp. bay leaf, crumbled very finely
- 1 tsp. finely chopped fresh thyme
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- Freshly ground salt and pepper
For trimmings :
- Mayonnaise, homemade or store-bought
- Lettuce leaves
- Red onion, thinly sliced
- Tomato slices
How to proceed:
- Preheat BBQ to medium heat. Oil the grill.
- In a small bowl, mix the spices. Set aside.
- For a "TNT" version, add the full jerk seasoning mix to the chicken and mix well.
- For a ‘SWEET’ version, add only half of the jerk mixture to the chicken.
- Shape the meatballs and place on the BBQ grill.
- Cook 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until done.
- Toast buns and garnish!
